For the most part, the Fifine T669 USB Microphone actually looks and feels like a really decent product. OK, the overall design might look rather generic and unassuming, but nevertheless the body is still constructed out of metal and features a matte black finish. There’s even a little gain control, which is really surprising to see at this price-point.

The very bottom edge features the large USB-B connector and there’s also some threading which allows you to fasten the microphone to various accessories. Unfortunately, there are no other outputs such as a headphone output to monitor the audio-levels, but that would admittedly be a luxury within this price-bracket. The microphone capsule itself is somewhat visible through the outer grill area and we can see from the shape that it’s a condenser microphone

. Like so many other microphones with this sort of design, the Fifine T669 USB Microphone has a cardioid pickup pattern. Unfortunately there is no way to change this to something like an omnidirectional pattern, but again that sort of functionality isn’t something which you’d expect to be included in this price range.

Whilst this microphone might lack certain features, FIFINE have made up for it by including a couple of really useful accessories. Straight out of the box the microphone comes attached to a mount which is in turn used for the included little tripod. Seeing as this mic doesn’t have any sort of stand like you’d find on something like the Blue Yeti mics, it’s great to see this little desk included if you do want to just use it on a desk or other flat surface.
